OptiSect is a green coloured, agglomerated crumbled product with favorable physical properties. OptiSect is truly unique in the world, it contains at least 60% water but we technically can produce up to 80% due to our Aquafiber™ Technology!

Furthermore add a high level of available energy from easily digestible carbohydrates and lipids plus functional fatty acids, essential and non-essential amino acids and a properly composed premix with high content of available vitamins, minerals and trace elements.

For the nutrional content in Optisect we use a special cereal that has been treated under high pressure (20-25 bar) with overheated steam for 25- 30 seconds. These cereals are known as APC: Advanced Processed Cereals. APC’s are unique raw ingredients that gives a variety of benefits for an insect and other species’ health and wellbeing. APC stands for Advanced Processed Cereals – cereals that has had its structure changed through a natural process. APC ensures an optimal digestion and is based on 20 years research.
